چکیده

Cloud computing is a well-known technology that provides flexible, efficient, and cost-effective information solutions for multinationals to offer improved enhanced quality of business services end-users. The cloud paradigm instigated from grid parallel models as it uses virtualization, server consolidation, utility computing, other technologies providing better large-scale computational data centers. recent intensifying demands enterprises have motivated the magnification large complicated centers handle business, monetary, Internet, commercial applications different enterprises. A center encompasses thousands millions physical machines arranged in racks along with network, storage, equipment entails an extensive amount power process processes amenities required by firms run their applications. This infrastructure leads challenges like enormous consumption, underutilization installed especially machines, CO 2 emission causing global warming, so on. In this article, we highlight issues context Pakistan where industry facing huge deficits shortcomings fulfill provide operational research investigates these reduce number related device equipment. proposed consolidation technique increase utilization already existing workloads migrating them virtual implement green energy-efficient To achieve objective, also introduced novel Virtualized Task Scheduling Algorithm manage properly distribute machine onto machines. results are generated case study performed virtualized task scheduling algorithm applied on tier-level center. obtained demonstrate there annual savings 23,600 W overall cost US$78,362. ratio has increased 30% compared 10%, whereas reduced 50% contributing enormously toward savings.

A Generic Approach to Achieve Optimal Server Consolidation by Using Existing Servers in Virtualized Data Center

Virtualization-based server consolidation has been proven to be an ideal technique to solve the server sprawl problem by consolidating multiple virtualized servers onto a few physical servers leading to improved resource utilization and return on investment. In this paper, we solve this problem by using existing servers, which are heterogeneous and diversely preferred by IT managers. Five pract...
